Alzheimer’s Infographic
‣ OVERVIEW
This project focused on creating an animated infographic to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and the work of the Alzheimer’s Association. I wanted to take complex medical information and translate it into something visual, emotional, and easy for a wide audience to understand—without losing the heart of the message.
‣ OBJECTIVE
The goal was to deliver important facts about Alzheimer’s in a way that felt clear, hopeful, and respectful. It was important to find a balance between educating the audience and connecting with them emotionally—avoiding anything too overwhelming or clinical. A big challenge for this project was making sure the design stayed approachable and human-centered, even while covering heavy topics.
‣ PROCESS
I started by researching Alzheimer’s statistics and the association’s key messaging points, distilling everything down into a simple, digestible narrative. I designed clean, friendly graphics in Illustrator that could help lighten the visual tone without downplaying the seriousness of the topic. Then, using After Effects, I animated the story with soft transitions and a calm pacing that would make the information easier to absorb. Every choice—from color palette to motion timing—was made to keep the tone sensitive, uplifting, and informative, ensuring that viewers stayed engaged without feeling overwhelmed.
‣ RESULT
The final infographic presents Alzheimer’s information in a way that feels both heartfelt and easy to understand. It highlights my ability to work with sensitive subjects thoughtfully, using design and animation to tell an important story with clarity, care, and emotional impact.
