Bark Box Ad

‣ OVERVIEW
This self-initiated project focused on creating a lively 2D animated advertisement for Bark Box, a subscription service for dogs. I wanted to capture the pure excitement dogs feel when a Bark Box arrives at the door—bringing that same playful, energetic vibe into an animated format.

 ‣ OBJECTIVE
The goal was to tell a short, fun story that matched Bark Box’s lighthearted brand voice while appealing to dog lovers of all kinds. I wanted the animation to feel cheerful and polished without losing that slightly over-the-top, goofy energy that makes the brand so lovable. A big personal challenge for this project was taking full ownership of every phase—from scripting and storyboarding to animating, sourcing a voiceover, and pulling together the final edit.

‣ PROCESS
I started by writing a quick, upbeat script that centered around a dog's perspective—showcasing the excitement of sniffing out a Bark Box delivery. I created the illustrations in Illustrator and sourced some vector elements from Vecteezy to help speed up the process. Using After Effects, I animated the scenes with playful motion and timing to keep everything feeling snappy and fun. I hired a voice actor through Fiverr to bring even more character to the story, and pulled background music from YouTube’s royalty-free library to round out the vibe. Throughout the process, I focused on maintaining a strong sense of energy and rhythm, making sure every element—from the voiceover pacing to the little tail wags—felt true to the brand’s playful spirit.

‣ RESULT
The final piece is a lively, professionally-voiced animated ad that brings Bark Box’s brand energy to life. It shows my ability to juggle storytelling, animation, and brand alignment—all while keeping the final product fun, polished, and full of personality.
